Summary
A 20 km drive via Kirinda takes the visitors to the Palatupana. The rocky outcrops scattered over the buffer zone provides vantage points to enjoy the sprawling areas with Sri Lanka’s dry zone landscape and thrilling adventure of wildlife. The early night jeep safari in the buffer zone provides a unique experience before the BBQ is served with Beer. Afternoon trekking experience with cultivating trees and collecting plastic and polyethene garbage and morning game drive to Yala National Park with outdoor breakfast will conclude the thrilling adventure of Yala wildlife experience.
Important tips
- This is an adventure base camping experience that has the basic amenities for lodging.
- Please bring trekking shoes and comfortable clothing.
- Please don’t bring plastic bottles, polyethene bags and any other garbage materials to the campsite.
- Each client has to plant 3 trees in the selected locations.
- Each guest should collect all plastic and polyethene garbage during the trekking and give them to the camp manager or naturalist.
- Yala is situated in the dry semi-arid climatic region and rainfall is mainly during the northeast monsoon. The mean annual rainfall ranges between 500–775 millimetres while the mean temperature ranges between 26.4 °C in January to 30 °C in April.
